The warning follows six separate reports received by police during December , in which police say men engaged in online conversation with contacts they believe to be girls or boys under 16, and have arranged to meet. Each one is being investigated and in three of the cases men have been arrested on suspicion of attempting to meet under children following grooming. No children were actually involved in any of the cases. The arrests were made in Burgess Hill and Crawley. It is also important to say that we do not encourage members of the public to carry out investigations themselves. The three men arrested by police, aged 40 from Horsham, 53 from Horsham and 49 from Peacehaven, are currently on police bail while enquiries continue, until May 24, March 28 and June 11, respectively.

Facebook’s dating site was due to launch a day before valentines day , but on Thursday 13 February, the EU pulled the plug on it due to serious data protection concerns. The social media giant failed to pass Irish data security regulations by not submitting adequate documentation. The DPC said it had been told about the feature just 10 days ahead of the planned launch and “no information or documentation was provided to us”. Facebook later informed the Irish authority that is was halting the roll-out of its new app until it was able to supply the information required.

Since the UK is still bound by EU laws and regulations during the Brexit transition period, the launch of the app will be impacted. Facebook claims it has provided the necessary paperwork, and said in a statement: “It’s really important that we get the launch of Facebook Dating right, so we are taking a bit more time to make sure the product is ready for the European market. The app allows users to share and collate photographs, as well as track photographers and collections over time.

Like dating platforms Tinder and Bumble, users of Facebook Dating will upload photographs and bios to match up with that special someone. Facebook intends to launch its own dating up that could potentially threaten the network on Bumble and Tinder by relocating their users onto its own platform. News you can trust since By Ryan Latto. Couples have been forced to make the choice to move in together or spend the lockdown apart, while those who are still looking for that special someone have had to get creative with Zoom calls or Facetime. The Alone Together podcast is back for a second series, and this episode explores the changes to dating and relationships over the past few extraordinary months. According to a new report from Relate and eHarmony, over a third of couples 36 per cent agree that two months in isolation feels equivalent to two years of commitment.

She advises: “Talk about the expectations you have, don’t make assumptions, communicate what you’re thinking and feeling, and ask the other person what they’re thinking and feeling. The lockdown has also seen more people try online dating with sign-ups to sites such as eHarmony, increasing by half. Rachael Lloyd, relationship expert at eHarmony, explains how the lockdown has affected the way we date — and why those who are single should not give up on finding love.

She said: “If you stick at online dating and want a meaningful relationship, just persist and keep a sense of humour, because you will eventually find love. I believe there’s someone for everyone.

A condition was the provision of a fire-proof box in which to keep the Marriage Register, but the Registrar-General could not say where such a box could be obtained! The alternative was a safe of sufficient size, but the Church opted instead to ask the local Registrar to attend each marriage at the church, and this cooperation has continued with excellent relationships over the years. The meeting was slightly different to my previous ones as it was dominated almost entirely by two subjects; the A27 and of course Brexit. The first hour was spent on the A27 where I answered questions after the disappointing letter from Highways England was released a couple of hours before that explained their decision to reject the road improvement options put forward by the Build a Better A27 group and Systra. For the past 20 months as your MP I have been engaged with the community and both councils individually and through the Build a Better A27 community workshops.

In total I have had well over 30 meetings with Local Authorities and Government Ministers, and I have called on the Secretary of State publicly and privately for his backing. I have been clear from the start that my role is not to take sides, but instead fight for money when the community manages to come together around an option that Highways England agrees to be viable and financially deliverable. Moving forward I am hoping to meet with the Secretary of State, Chris Grayling who I wrote to on the 20th December to ask for a meeting.

In the mean time I will continue to work with both Local Councils with a meeting on the 25th January already in the diary. For the second hour the bulk of questions concerned leaving the EU.

Written by Vanessa Mills, the article concerned an escaped lion intended for the Zoo that Billy Butlin had set up along the Bognor Regis Esplanade in Whereby the initial report of an escaped lion was exaggerated. Butlin had jumped to conclusions; a lion was loose, he had an empty case and a missing lion, therefore the lion was his. At the time newspapers both locally and nationally reported the same thing. Someone had spotted what looked like a lion at Climping, causing rumours that a lion had escaped.

Dating can be a daunting experience at the best of times. Instead, opt for an outfit which you are completely comfortable in. It still needs to be smart and appropriate for the venue, but choose clothes which you regularly wear, which are a little loose fitting and which you know you are comfortable in.

If you still want to treat yourself to something new, perhaps opt for a new accessory, which will make the outfit feel new but not compromise on your comfort. Chatting to someone you know will help you relax, and can serve as a good reminder of what a good catch you are! They can help you navigate unknown aspects of the date — like the menu, and where the loos are — little things which you might not normally think twice about, but which can suddenly become daunting mid-date.

And you can even ask them to wait unseen at the start of the date, to check your potential partner arrives, and see you get settled. You can then debrief them by phone afterwards. And if he or she reacts negatively to you not drinking alcohol, is this really someone you want to be with? There are very few distractions or ice breakers, and if conversation takes a while to warm up, it can feel like a barrage of questions. One of the best ways to avoid this is to plan active dates, where you are walking around, side by side.

Conversation can flow more easily, you are surrounded by natural talking points, and the physical activity releases endorphins which make you feel happier and more confident.
